About The Project

Abstract

Under the Master Plan-2031, Chandigarh is slated for a comprehensive makeover, focusing on residential, educational, commercial, and infrastructural developments. AI-generated visualizations offer a glimpse into the envisioned future, depicting the potential impact of these initiatives on various facets of urban life. While projects like EduCity have already kicked off, the proposal for a 35-acre film city in Sarangpur marks a significant step forward for the region, although past challenges in executing similar projects serve as a cautionary tale. Included in the Master Plan is a metro rail project, with discussions ongoing regarding the choice between underground and elevated tracks. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs holds sway in finalizing this decision. Chandigarh grapples with land scarcity issues, leading to a halt in the land auction process and a concentration of developmental activities along Vikas Marg. Commercial development is planned in Manimajra, along the Kalka-Chandigarh road, signaling further growth in the city's infrastructure. Additionally, the Tourism Department's proposed project in Sarangpur aims to blur the lines between imagination and reality, leveraging VR, AR, and AI technologies to create an immersive experience for tourists
